Interviewing can be a very exciting, yet stressful process. At Duke, we strive to take care of all the details so you can focus your energies on the people you are meeting. In addition to spending time with the faculty and staff, we will arrange for a community tour with a relocation specialist familiar with the offerings of the community, housing market, the schools, etc. who will chart out a plan based on the needs of you and your family. Interviews typically last from a half day for local candidates to two full days for candidates looking at multiple sites.
MSR will take care of all the details and provide a written interview itinerary and detailed travel information. If you are coming from out of town, the recruitment team at Duke will make and pay for all of your travel arrangements. In most cases, your recruiter will pick you up at the hotel and stay with you throughout the day so you can focus on the people you are meeting, without worrying about where you are supposed to be next or how to get there.
It is our goal to create an environment that is casual, yet informative. We understand that healthcare is a relationship business and we want to provide you with the time and opportunity to get a real feel for the people with whom you may be working.
As you and your recruiter are looking at possible times to schedule your interview, please be sure to communicate any special needs or interests so we can build those requests into your visit itinerary.
